CARE GUIDE
Crafted with the utmost care from materials selected for their quality, Sandro garments and accessories are designed to last.
To preserve their beauty over time, they require special attention.
Discover our tips and precautions to care for them and continue wearing them season after season.
Before washing your garment, we invite you to read the instructions on the label.
If it states “do not wash,” we recommend entrusting it to a professional for dry cleaning.
SILK
Silk twill or crêpe de Chine — these natural and precious materials require special care.
They must be dry-cleaned or hand-washed with the utmost caution.
DRY CLEANING RECOMMENDED: to preserve your garment over time, we recommend entrusting it to experts who will know how to maintain its radiance.
WASHING: by hand, at a maximum temperature of 30°C. We advise not to let the garment soak.
SPIN DRYING: gentle and manual; you may also absorb excess water by rolling the garment in a towel.
DRYING: prefer air drying, on a hanger. Once dry, the garment will naturally appear lighter and drier.
IRONING AND STEAMING: The fiber will rehydrate through the moisture of ironing, and especially through steaming. The fabric will thus regain its loft, softness, and suppleness
POLYESTER
Polyester fiber is a synthetic fiber that offers long-lasting color brilliance.
WASHING: machine wash and/or hand wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C; we advise not to let the garment soak.
SPIN DRYING: gentle and manual; you may also absorb excess water by rolling the garment in a towel.
DRYING: prefer air drying, on a hanger.
IRONING AND STEAMING: ironing is not necessarily required; however, steaming the garment while it hangs is recommended.
VISCOSE
Viscose is an artificial fiber that is particularly sensitive to water.
To prevent your garment from shrinking during washing, it is essential to follow these recommendations:
WASHING: hand wash in cold water, do not let soak. Once wet, the fiber naturally contracts and hardens.
SPIN DRYING: gentle and manual; you may also absorb excess water by rolling the garment in a towel.
DRYING: prefer air drying, on a hanger. Once dry, the garment will retain a shrunken and very stiff appearance.
IRONING AND STEAMING: these steps are essential to restore the fiber’s loft, softness, and suppleness.
COTTON
Cotton is a natural fiber that is soft, smooth, and lightweight, whose color brilliance may require specific care.
RECOMMENDED CLEANING: For some of our garments with bright or deep colors, we recommend dry cleaning to preserve their vibrancy over time.
WASHING: machine wash at 30°C.
IRONING AND STEAMING: recommended to restore softness and suppleness.
LINEN
Linen is a natural fiber that absorbs colors more lightly and less durably.
RECOMMENDED CLEANING: to preserve the fiber’s suppleness and brightness, we recommend professional dry cleaning.
WASHING: hand wash in cold water, do not let soak.
SPIN DRYING: gentle, without twisting the garment, either by hand or in the machine.
DRYING: prefer flat drying. Once dry, the garment will have a very wrinkled appearance.
IRONING AND STEAMING: these are essential, while respecting the temperatures suitable for linen.
WOOL
Wool is a natural fiber that reacts very quickly to washing and therefore requires special care.
DRY CLEANING RECOMMENDED: to preserve your garment over time, we recommend entrusting it to experts who will know how to maintain its brightness. In particular, for structured woven items such as coats, jackets, or trousers, washing is not advisable, as it may cause significant shrinkage and felting of the fabric.
IRONING: it is recommended to inform the professional to steam the garment only and/or to use a damp cloth if ironing is necessary on certain areas (such as collars or button plackets).
WASHING: cold hand wash with a suitable detergent, avoiding fabric softeners, is possible for some knitted garments. Wash them inside out without soaking. Some styles may be machine-washed in a laundry bag on a very delicate cycle (maximum 400 revolutions per minute for spin drying).
DRYING: gently remove excess water without twisting and dry flat on a towel.
LEATHER
A natural material, leather develops a patina over time and must be cared for with the utmost caution.
To preserve your leather garments and bags, keep them protected from dust and clean them regularly with a soft cloth using gentle circular motions.
PROFESSIONAL CLEANING RECOMMENDED: in case of stains or scratches, entrust them to a leather care specialist.
